Psalms 1
Bishops' Bible
1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsell of the vngodly: nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seate of the scornefull.
2But his delight is in the lawe of God: and in God his lawe exerciseth himselfe day and night.
3And he shalbe lyke a tree planted by the waters syde, that bryngeth foorth her fruite in due season: and whose leafe wythereth not, for whatsoeuer he doth it shall prosper.
4As for the vngodly it is not so with them: but they are like the chaffe which the winde scattereth abrode.
5Therefore the vngodly shall not be able to stande in the iudgement: neither the sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6For God knoweth the way of the righteous: and the way of the vngodly shall perishe.
